I’ve probably owned all of two pairs of mules my entire life, with the exception of plastic platform slip-ons as a teenager. Mules have always been deemed dreadful in my book. Just tacky. But that began to change when I bought my first pair, the Christian Louboutin Madeleine, and I realized that they can actually look chic and be comfortable. Then I got the yellow suede Horsebit Wooden Clogs by Gucci and the stigma was broken.
I realized they actually don’t look bad and are a simple wear. And from what I’ve seen, they can look so edgy chic with a cute dress or boyfriend jeans. I now love that a mule is such an easy and comfortable wear. Slip on and go!
