Shoe Trend: Marsala

SC welcomes another one of Pantone’s color picks to our Shoe Trend series!

Can I say one word? Obsessed.

Along with sweaters and sweats (so what if I live in Hawaii?!), Pantone’s Color of the Year “Marsala” is one of my current favorites. Ever since I purchased a pair of burgundy ankle strap sandals from Love Culture, similar to these but without the chain detail, I began to sense it was a color to watch out for. Then my husband recently gifted me a pair of elastic wine Balenciaga heels, and it’s official. I’ve been crushing on everything burgundy, wine, maroon, and according to Pantone’s Fashion Color Report for 2015—marsala. Yes, marsala, like the Italian-American dish.

Of course I had to share this obsession with you so below I picked out the usual OCD array of options. You can even see a hint of the hue on InStyle’s Spring Fashion Trend: Spicy Looks. Go ahead and add it to your arsenal as it most likely will stick around until the Fall/Winter season.
